1. Introduction

These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Carbonhogs website and services operated by OYNK Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered address is iCon Innovation Centre, Daventry, Northamptonshire, NN11 0QB.

By using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.

2. Service description

Carbonhogs provides automated carbon reduction plan generation for UK businesses. Our service includes:

  • A questionnaire to collect information about your business operations
  • Automated carbon footprint estimation based on your responses
  • Generation of a carbon reduction plan document (PDF and/or other formats)
  • A free carbon readiness score assessment
  • Optional third-party verification services

3. Accounts

You must register an account to purchase a plan. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide accurate and complete information when registering. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Pricing and payment

  • All prices are displayed in British Pounds (GBP) and include VAT where applicable
  • Payment is a one-off charge — there are no subscriptions or recurring fees
  • Payment is processed securely via Stripe
  • Your plan will be generated and delivered after payment is confirmed
  • Prices may change at any time, but changes will not affect existing purchases

5. Delivery

Your carbon reduction plan will be delivered electronically via email and made available for download in your dashboard. Plans are generated instantly after checkout.

6. Refund policy

We offer a full refund within 14 days of purchase if:

  • You have not yet completed the questionnaire, or
  • We have failed to deliver the plan within 5 business days of questionnaire completion

Once a plan has been generated and delivered, refunds are at our discretion. The free readiness score is not a paid service and is not subject to refunds.

7. Accuracy of plans

Carbon reduction plans are generated based on the information you provide in the questionnaire and published emission factors (DEFRA 2024 UK Government GHG Conversion Factors). While we take reasonable steps to ensure accuracy:

  • Plans are estimates based on self-reported data, not audited figures
  • We do not guarantee that plans will satisfy every procurement requirement
  • Plans are designed to align with PPN 006 guidelines but compliance ultimately depends on the accuracy of the data you provide
  • We recommend reviewing your plan with a qualified professional if it will be used for regulatory reporting or high-value procurement bids

8. Intellectual property

The carbon reduction plan generated for you is yours to use for your business purposes, including procurement submissions. However:

  • The Carbonhogs name, logo, and website design remain our intellectual property
  • Plan templates, methodology, and software are our proprietary work
  • You may not resell, redistribute, or white-label generated plans without our written consent

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service
  • We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages
  • We are not liable for losses arising from inaccurate data provided by you
  • We are not liable for the outcome of any procurement bid or regulatory submission

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Provide deliberately false information in the questionnaire
  • Attempt to access other users’ accounts or data
  • Interfere with the operation of the service
  • Resell access to the service without authorisation

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
